With television shows such as “PBS’ Finding Your Roots” and “Genealogy Roadshow,” along with commercial DNA testing, a renewed interest in genealogy has caught fire across the country. But where to start?

Eleanor Brinsko, of Carlon Genealogical Services, will guide the audience through the basic beginning steps of researching family history, types of genealogical documents and records that can piece together a family member’s life, and resources that researchers can use both at home and at the library.

Eleanor Brinsko is a professional genealogist who does European-American genealogy and specializes in Norwegian-American genealogy by looking at genealogical and social trends on both sides of the Atlantic.

*If you would like to join us in-person we will handle all the technology end of the Zoom presentation and you can just enjoy the show. We will be projecting it on the large screen in our Community Room so there is plenty of space spread out.
